Green Chimneys believes that children thrive in nature and benefit from time spent outdoors. The Green Chimneys School offers an enriched academic environment with a vast array of innovative programming, including life skills, music and art, animal-assisted therapy programs, and outdoor education, all based in experiential learning.

The fully integrated approach to education programs at Green Chimneys includes a complete staff of educators, clinicians, social workers, therapists, farm and wildlife experts, and outdoor specialists who are trained in social skills development, behavior management techniques to assist students in self-regulation skills, and crisis prevention and intervention. Small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratio and certified special education professionals address individual learning styles, and provide necessary therapeutic support for students with:

The renowned nature-based programs at Green Chimneys encompass animal-assisted therapy, horticultural activities, humane education, ecological study and sustainable agriculture education. Students participate in animal care, garden maintenance, adventure activities and diverse service projects.
