Green Chimneys School is designed for students who have been unsuccessful in a traditional educational setting and who require a small, structured and therapeutically supportive setting. Small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratio, well-trained clinicians and educators, and a safe, therapeutic school environment are just a few things that make Green Chimneys School the right choice for so many students with special needs.

Our seasoned Admissions Team works with you, your school district, hospitals, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, medical doctors, parent advocates and attorneys to identify the needs of your child, and assess the appropriateness of the Green Chimneys educational and therapeutic program for your child.

Green Chimneys School accepts students primarily from school districts in New York State and Connecticut. Admission to the therapeutic elementary and middle schools is based on referrals from sending school districts and the individual needs of the student. Student enrollment is covered by the home school district, although parents may choose to pay privately for their child’s tuition.
